Recochem’s top quality kerosene-based lamp oil is specifically for use in mechanically adjustable wick feeding lamps with glass chimneys. For best results, keep the wick short and trim or follow the lamp manufacturer’s directions. During long burn periods, the wick will require regular adjustment to prevent smoking and soot damage.

Note: Exposure to direct sunlight causing condensation inside the lamp, air draft, wick’s condition and height can cause the lamp to smoke.
